Day Itinerary – Sports
Breakfast: 9:30am – Grab breakfast at The Brunch Club on Duke Street. The eatery that specialises in breakfast, brunch and cocktails offers a diverse menu that includes many vegetarian and vegan options.
Liverpool FC Tour: 11am – Take a cab down to Anfield Stadium to see the iconic football ground in all its glory. Discover 120 years of LFC history in the museum and go behind the scenes on a tour of the Main Stand – you don’t have to be a fan to enjoy the magic of Liverpool Football Club.
Lunch: 1pm – Enjoy lunch at Anfield’s Boot Room Café located underneath the legendary Kop Stand. The varied menu offers something for everyone although we would recommend trying the local delicacy that is Scouse – a beef and vegetable stew served with crusty bread.
Liverpool ONE/Free Time: 3pm – Visit the stylish open-air complex Liverpool ONE – the city’s home of shopping, eating, drinking and relaxing. Housing over 160 stores, bars and restaurants, a 14-screen cinema, an indoor adventure golf course and a five-acre park – the complex really does offer something for everyone.
Dinner: 7pm – Grab dinner at Liverpool ONE. We’d suggest trying the multi-award winning Thai restaurant Chaophraya with its amazing gourmet menu, or perhaps Hanover Street Social – the local brasserie famed for its exceptional cuisine and award winning cocktails.
After dinner: 9pm – Head to the Seel Street area and see for yourself why Rough Guides named a night out in Liverpool as one of the top 3 things to do before you die. Try a Latin-inspired cocktail in a converted church at Alma de Cuba, a ‘stein and a brine’ at Salt Dog Slims or a night in an enchanted garden at Kazimier Gardens.
