After a three year break we are coming back to Confex, and we have a lot to say!
2018 is a very special year for us as we are celebrating 10 years on from winning European Capital of Culture (and more personally for me, its 10 years since my first Confex). So much has happened in these past 10 years and so many new and exciting venues have come to life.
Our conference offering has grown and grown and this year the city will welcome some fantastic global events including Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) World Congress, Uniglobal, International Business Festival, Labour Party Conference and Global Symposium on Health Systems Research, those alone (there is a lot more, check out our website for who’s coming) will bring almost 50,000 delegates to Liverpool and all of them will receive a very warm welcome!
I am really proud to work in the Bureau, we have such a fantastic relationship with all of our venues – some of which are with us at Confex and I believe many conferences choose here not only for the great venues but because of the city itself, how compact it is, the friendliness of the people and the willingness and dedication of our team and venues to go above and beyond to make the event be the best event yet for organisers.
We’ll be heading to Confex with some of the spectacular and diverse venues that we have the pleasure or working with: ACC Liverpool, Hilton, Thornton Manor, Titanic Hotel, The Isla Gladstone Conservatory, University of Liverpool, Signature Living, Mills Media and Liverpool City Halls.
To celebrate 2018 we have a not-to-be-missed celebration of the city’s culture and creativity. Just a snapshot of what to expect includes the world-famous Terracotta Warriors, Tate at 30, The Randox Grand National, The Clothes Show and Liverpool Biennial (more info on www.visitliverpool.com/2018). It promises to be a year to remember, and a fantastic experience for delegates.
If you’re coming to Confex, come and say Hello, were on Stand J38C. We would love to see you – you won’t be disappointed.
