Please find below some further information and answers to Frequently Asked Questions surrounding the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

I am due to travel to Liverpool for an event/conference, should I still come?
There are currently no travel restrictions into and around the UK (including Liverpool) imposed by the British government. There are however numerous travel restrictions imposed by other countries regarding travel to the UK. We therefore recommend consulting the official advice and limitations in your region before travelling.
The UK government has announced that it will no longer support large events across the UK, so we urge you to check with the event organisers if the event is still going ahead before travelling.
For UK citizens, the FCO (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) have advised that only essential travel anywhere in the world should be undertaken.
I am no longer travelling on my planned trip to Liverpool, can I get a refund on my hotel?
If your event has been cancelled this does not mean that your hotel room will have automatically been cancelled. If you made your hotel booking via Liverpool Convention Bureau then please follow the below instructions to cancel your booking.
1. Follow the link in your booking confirmation email
2. Click ‘Manage Existing Reservation’
3. Enter acknowledgement number (this can be found on your confirmation email and begins with ‘32’ and your last name)
4. Select ‘Cancel’
5. You will receive a cancellation email
If you are unsure of your cancellation policy or have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org and the team will confirm your reservation cancellation policy.
If you made your hotel booking via the hotel or an alternative booking provider, please contact them directly in order to cancel or rearrange your booking.
I am no longer travelling on my planned trip to Liverpool, can I get a refund on my transport (flights, ferry, trains)?
If your trip to Liverpool has been impacted by the current Coronavirus situation, please contact your transport provider directly in order to discuss your options.
I was planning to attend a conference in Liverpool, will it still be going ahead?
Event cancellation is currently at the discretion of the event organisers.
