Liverpool Makes the Shortlist in 4 Categories at Industry Awards

The Meetings and Incentive Travel (M&IT) awards are like the Oscars in the event prof world and this year Liverpool has finalists in 4 categories.

Recognised as the biggest and original event industry awards programme, it’s twice as big as any other awards in the event industry calendar. Plus, it’s the only independently audited events industry awards programme. Organised by Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine, the awards brings together all sectors of the industry to reward excellence of service.

The 2021 shortlist includes 14 categories and Liverpool – including Liverpool Convention Bureau – has made the shortlist in 4 of those categories. Finalists made the list based on votes from UK based bona-fide event organisers.

ACC Liverpool is a finalist in the ‘Best UK Conference Centre’ alongside Celtic Manor Resort, ExCel London, Glasgow SECC, ICC Wales and ICC Birmingham.

Liverpool Cathedral makes the list of finalists for ‘Best UK Unusual Venue’ alongside British Motor Museum, Church House Westminster, Glasgow Science Centre, Manchester Museum, Natural History Museum London, Tobacco Dock and Tower of London.

Hope Street Hotel is alongside The Belfry, Celtic Manor Resort, Chewton Glen, Cliveden House Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire and Park Regis in Birmingham for ‘Best UK Hotel.’

Finally, last but not least Liverpool Convention Bureau has once again made the shortlist for ‘Best UK Convention Bureau’ along with Belfast Convention Bureau, Glasgow Convention Bureau, Birmingham & West Midlands Convention Bureau, London & Partners and Meet Bristol & Bath.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Evolution London on 8 October 2021 where we hope Liverpool returns home with the gold!

On Liverpool Convention Bureau making the shortlist, Jenny Jensen – Head of Business Tourism at Marketing Liverpool said

“I am delighted to see not only Liverpool Convention Bureau shortlisted for these industry awards, but a number of our city partners. The awards are voted for by Event Organisers so it is fantastic to be recognised by our clients for our hard work and dedication.”
