Liverpool Convention Bureau were chosen by the Association of Local Government Communications to support their Annual Conference held in partnership with the Government Communications Service in Liverpool on 1st-2nd November 2016. The Bureau used our local knowledge and expertise to source venues for the welcome reception, awards evening and the conference itself which attracted over 300 people from local and central government across the UK. Our relationships allowed LGcomms to tap in to reduced rates available through the Convention Bureau for their accommodation booking service and venue spaces.
“The Convention Bureau were a huge help to me when planning our event in Liverpool. Our conference is UK wide so we like to take it round the county each year and being London based means I often have to rely on local knowledge when it comes to finding venues. The Bureau showed us locations for our conference and evening events and helped us pick the perfect venues to showcase the unique history and beauty of Liverpool – ensuring that our delegates were able to leave with a great overview of Liverpool as a city. The service didn’t stop there though! The accommodation page that was set up for our delegates offered great rates at hotels and left me able to concentrate on other areas of my event. The team were always available if I had questions and didn’t cease their work until my event was in the capable hands of the venue staff we had chosen to use.
