Cultural Destinations Programme
Liverpool’s Cultural Destinations Programme is a three year initiative supported by Arts Council England and VisitEngland, the national tourist board. The Programme’s partners include a range of organisations in the arts and cultural sector, as well as the visitor economy sector, who are working together to more effectively align business tourism with cultural tourism.
The Programme enables conference organisers to engage with the local arts and cultural sector in a number of ways, including:-
Access to local performers for entertainment at social events
Delegate engagement during conference breaks/lunches
Cultural walking tours for delegates pre-conference
Sketching workshops for delegates pre-conference
Discounted tickets and offers for performances at local theatres, concert halls and cinemas for pre-conference options
Comedy/Dance/Writing/Singing workshops for team-building
Exclusive behind the scenes tours of local theatres and concert halls
Curatorial private tours of art/museum exhibitions
The Programme also has dedicated cultural training sessions for hospitality staff to ensure they can advise delegates and visitors on the cultural activities available.
