The resort’s luxurious Spa facilities include 10 therapy & treatment rooms including three couples’ treatment rooms, thermal heaven area with steam room, Rasul room, heated relaxation beds and Himalayan salt sauna, a 20m heated indoor swimming pool, essence infused Laconium cabin, spa bath, ice fountain, experience showers, and relaxation areas.
The spa works with renowned brands including ESPA and The Natural Spa Factory and a number of seasonal spa days and residential packages are available throughout the year.
Formby Hall Golf
Formby Hall has long been associated with golf’s elite. Founded in 1996 as a Championship Golf Course, the PGA European Tour chose Formby Hall as a venue for the European Challenge Tour from 1999-2001.
Formby Hall Golf Club comprises The Old Championship Course, with its wooded areas and water hazards providing definition and character to a course that has hosted the European Seniors, Challenge Tour and Euro-Pro Tours. The Woodhey Dunes 9-hole course captures the charm of links golf. Built on sand and plotting its way through dune style terrain, the course features generous putting greens and strategically placed bunkers. The signature hole is the 2nd, featuring a challenging island green.
Its PGA Academy and Resort was added in 2008, and the Tommy Fleetwood Academy, which nurtures the next generation of golf talent, joined in 2019. Tommy Fleetwood himself had his first professional victory at Formby Hall when he won the Formby Hall Classic in 2011 on the Euro-Pro Tour.
A state-of-the-art Top tracer driving range launched in 2022, enabling both complete beginners and experienced golfers to trace and analyse their shots on the driving range in the same way TV broadcasters help golf fans track the shots of golf professionals, on-screen, during tournaments. Formby Hall’s beautiful countryside location ensures peace and tranquillity for your event, meeting, conference or wedding and can host any type of meeting, conference or social event, from cocktail receptions and barbeques to team building and away days.
The resort offers four luxurious private event rooms, with the largest room, the Ambassador Suite, ideal for banqueting and larger meetings or weddings. It boasts breathtaking views of the golf course and accommodates up to 300 guests.
The Diplomat Suite has its own private balcony and hosts up to 160 guests and overlooks the golf course’s stunning 18th hole lake.
The Links Suite is perfectly placed for small meetings and private dining and hosts up to 48 guests. The Parkland Suite is ideal for meetings, private dining, and smaller events for up to 40 guests. All rooms include the latest AV technology.
In addition to meeting rooms, the golf club can tailor your meeting to suit your needs, whether its team building on the driving range or away days on the course – it’s up to you.
